As a result of their thermal management system producing less heat, LED lights are substantially cooler. This is unquestionably advantageous in ports or manufacturing facilities where excessive heat is an issue.

Application:

Low Wattage (15—40 Watts) - "Low wattage" flood lights use bulbs that have a wattage of between 15 and 40. These are excellent for lighting up tiny spaces, like a walkway or doorway. In most cases, these bulbs offer sufficient lighting for homes or extremely small spaces near businesses.
Mid Wattage (40-80 Watts) - Mid wattage lights use bulbs that have a wattage between 40 and 80. These are perfect for providing moderately strong illumination in places like a small yard, garden, or driveway.
High Wattages (at least 100 Watts) - The bulbs are referred regarded as "high wattage" after the wattage numbers reach three digits. These bulbs are required for uses including illuminating streets, parking lots, and other municipal or industrial lighting requirements. The International DarkSky Association states that 400 watts or more may be used for street illumination. These powerful lights are set on poles that are quite high off the ground.
Ultra High Wattage (400 Watts) - 400 watt flood lights are the highest number of approved wattages. Typically, they are only suitable for significant municipal or industrial lighting applications, such as illumination for airports, roads, sizable parking lots, or outdoor sporting venues.
